North Carolina Online Club Activity

Hello, I am Charles Roberson current president of the NC Chess Association.
This is a prototype for my proposal of a virtual NC chess club. Given that many clubs have created an online presence and activities during the COVID-19 pandemic, we can work together as a virtual club.
Many people in each city would love to play with that city’s club but can’t on the one night per week that it meets. So, we can all join efforts to create a virtual all NC club. Here is a list of clubs and activities that anyone in NC can participate in. It is organized by day of the week to make it easier to find what you need when you need it. I think this will provide more chess to more people across NC than before while increasing the social aspect of NC chess during the pandemic. This should increase the social aspect of chess and event awareness when OTB events return. All clubs should link this page on their sites, so all in NC can find it quickly. This type of cross-advertising of all chess clubs will increase chess awareness in NC. Please pass the link to this page around to all your club’s members and nonmembers. If your club wishes to participate in this or be removed from this list go to ncchess.org contact us and send me a note.
